Community Media should embrace diversity because therein lie opportunity, resources and advantage. Diversity is not something merely to be tolerated because this is the right thing to do or because our lives will be less troublesome. Community Media need to ground cultural diversity in both individual autonomy, collective self-organisation and presence within the local public sphere.
